When you look into a dog’s eyes what do you see?
Some may perhaps see anger and fierceness; but others will see kindness, love, and a desire to connect.
Why this difference when it’s the same dog?
Perhaps dogs are a part of our imagined reality and they reflect our innermost feelings back to us?
If within us there is a desire for love and companionship, perhaps a meld with the oneness of all, this is what dogs will reflect back to us.
If on the other hand our inner feelings are of fear, competitiveness, bullying, ‘that is how the world is’, then this is what we will experience when we look into the eyes of a dog. They are wonderful mirrors of our inner feelings.
We believe we are the teachers and trainers of our dogs, but what if they are our teachers?
Look into their eyes and see what you can learn.
